An update about me, from me

It’s been a while since the last update, a lot has happened.

First, as most of the world knows, Angel left this earthly plane in April.
I had several people who helped me get through the things that come with a spouse’s passing.
Thank you to those of you who helped me get thru some pretty nasty shit (if you know what happened, you know who you are).
I also want to thank Lili VonSchtupp for making the memorial fabulous, as well as everyone who shared their love to make
Angel’s going away party a great one!. The love you put in made for a great party A special thank you to Trish Neil, with the help of Remele, got me to the Mayflower and home(back to where I keep my stuff) !

Then to add insult to injury, second I have been moved to a board and care (they provide 3 meals a day and all utilities are included, they only provide transportation for a few things usually a couple times a month), with 13 other people!
3 are hospice, 8 have some mental illness, that leaves me and another person recovering from being kicked out of a nursing facility because the insurance company didn’t want to pay for anymore “skilled nursing”, they have progressed as far as they can, as far as the insurance company is concerned(just like me).
Talk about living in a bag of cat’s that’s been tied and tossed into the river!
This morning I was awakened at 5:30 in the morning, because one of they were trying to get the house mgr awake (the sheriff’s officers were here). One of the new resident’s had called 911 because her HUSBAND had taken HER car.
the cops leave, only for them to reappear at 6:30,making the dogs going crazy!,
responding to a domestic violence complaint by you guessed it! The same woman from earlier!
I’m nowhere near anyone I know, not a store close enough to walk to and no transportation to get even to the store (which is under 1/2 mile away) but I do have a park close.

Last but not least, I would like to take this opportunity to thank everyone who added a little cash to my pay-pal account or you sent me a gift card. Each gift has been truly appreciated and come at just the time when it was needed the most!
I don’t want to forget to thank those of you who have had show fundraisers to help me in this leg of my journey.
It means a lot to me to know that my contribution to Burlesque has given me the opportunity to see the world, a passel of kids that I didn’t have to birth, so many friends that have become family and a life time of memories spent with the love of my life.

My address for now is:
708 Grassy Meadow Dr.
San Jacinto, CA 92582

Funds are still needed.

We haven’t made many announcements lately, because it was a lot of hurry up and wait.

Vic is doing well, she  is still staying in the same center. Progress is slower than we hoped, as it’s stabilized. Not much use of the left arm or hand but she does manage to get around in her chair very well. Walking is still not great because of stability, buts she’s working hard.

We’ve taken her out to lunch and she she up for visitors, emails, calls, and texts. Please reach out. It’s boring to cooped up all day. Especially on the cold rainy ones.

Lili VonSchtupp, Miss May, Vic and Angel.

She’s gonna be here a while. We still need funds to help with extra costs and daily needs. Nice soaps, tooth page, the luxuries aren;t provided. Angel brings her fresh fruits and treats too. Please help if you can.

Rehab Center is Home

Vic now lives permanently in the rehab center. Our doctor Who believes in hope and Miracle’s, Said when you have a stroke sometimes it just takes time she could be better in months or she may never be better but in the meantime my baby needs 24-hour care. And that’s something that I cannot give ……there are three medical shifts that take care of her. But we always have our thoughts that no matter what , she is still alive and being her spunky crazy silly self which I miss terribly but she’s right down the street from me so I can see her more than the average person.
No you wouldn’t think your body changes when you have a stroke but it does all the clothing and jackets and shoes and shirts and socks and things like that don’t fit her the way they used to… so thank you to four lovely beautiful souls, who sent extra money and gift cards I was able to go out and buy her 4 pair of pajamas four sweat suits 6 shirts lots of socks and two pair of shoes. Which came to a lot of money I might add….. And because of these four lovely ladies who donated in the last couple of days I was able to buy her the things that she needs. I don’t know which God you worship, but I have to say may all the gods bless you and bless all of our friends for coming to our Aid believe me I don’t know where I would have got the money. Our hardest time is finding shoes because she has two different shaped and size footies so that’s been the most difficult part but we shall prevail so just wanted to give you a little update on what’s going on.
Today was not one of her better days but somehow she is a strong Fierce woman that manages to overcome the pain and the depression and everything that comes along with having a stroke. And she has all of you.
Once again we’d like to say thank you through our tears our love and gratitude for you all..
Vic
And Angel

New address! Vic’s in the rehab center.

Vic has moved in to the rehabilitation center. You can send her cards here. She can take calls but we ask you call in the afternoon and limit talking to 10 minutes. Vic thinks she has more strength than she does. 🙂 Her PT is mostly in the morning. Please don’t call after 7pm. If she says she’s eating PLEASE call back. Her swallowing is not strong enough to try to do both. She could choke talking and eating. She’s doing a lot better. The expenses are starting now. Lots of things aren’t covered by insurance.

Send cards and money please!

Please be kind if you want to visit

If you want to visit Vic Crotwell and Angel Walker, please call Angel before you head up. While they love the company, you have to understand Vic has a daily schedule and Angel is doing the work of two. The help you can give may not be what they need. ASK FIRST. A woman who had a stroke is not up for a surprise visit. And a woman trying to get the daily life stuff done, doesn’t need a house guest.  Thank you for understanding.

Update on Vic:

Vic is doing well. She’s stable and working hard. No major changes or news on moving into a new place yet.

VIC is tired today but doing well.

Vic has been doing some hard work in PT and is resting today. She’s getting more movement in the left leg and more feeling back in the left side overall.

She’s got a friend coming in to give her a haircut and she’s getting a mani-pedi today.
