Vic says hello!

Its been a decent day! You can see in the video Vic has a huge rug burn from when she fell out of bed after the stroke.  You can also see she has some movement in her left toes. So far, its the only movement on that side. She still can’t swallow.

What you don’t see is the hard boot they gave her for her right foot. They fractured her toe when moving her to the ambulance. It’s gonna make standing exercises a bit harder but she’s determined.

They are moving her to a Skilled Nurse Program in the hospital. This keeps her near emergency care if needed and will move her into a rehabilitation program today. This is good news as it’s a highly rated program.

Update from last night

Vic has managed to move her left toes. This is a huge thing to have some movement. There will be more swallow tests, PT, OT and working to get her arm and whole left side moving again today. No news about a full plan yet. We expect two weeks in the Stroke Ward and then a four to six week stay in rehabilitation.  We will keep you posted.
